Singer/songwriter Angela Ortiz makes her debut with this Random Chance Records release. This young pianist and vocalist displays a strong command of both of her instruments.

Her songwriting and performance shows influences of artists like Tori Amos, Caryl King...but with a bite she's also listened to Tom Waits. The arrangements and back up instrumentalists (Ryan Scott, guitar, Dimitri Moderbacher, reeds, Andre Canniere, trumpets, Michael Blanco & Marco Panascia, bass and Bill Campbell, drums & percussion) fuse pop with jazz sounds.
